With a reasonable budget today it's possible to set up a professional home studio to produce and record professionally a music projects from the comfort of your home. But there are some production stages, such as Mixing and Mastering, that require extensive knowledge and many years of experience on the "field" in oder to achieve professional results. |
With over 20 years of professional experience we provide audio Mixing and Mastering Online service to help artists, bands, producers, songwriters, singers, record labels to complete their music projects professionally, taking their creativity to the highest sound-quality level. |
In all these years we have mixed and mastered music projects for majors (WEA, Universal, BMG) and independent record labels, in different music styles: electronic (house, deephouse, chillout, lounge, techno, trance, drum&bass, ambient, dance, etc.), as well as pop, rock, dance, hip hop, rap, r&b, funk, jazz, acoustic, folk, ethnic, etc. |

| Preparing the audio files |
The most reliable way to provide us with your audio project is to "mixdown" each audio and midi track of your song (this process can also be called "Merge", "Render", "Bounce", etc.). All audio files must start from bar 1, beat 1 of the song. Audio files can be at 16 or 24 Bit and at 44.1 or 48 khz. Make sure that all files are recorded at the same sample rate. |

Before the mixdown of each audio or midi track: |
1) Select the mixdown range from bar 1 until the end of the song |
2) Make sure that the track volume is not too high or too low (usually it should be at zero db) |
3) Bypass any effects (eq filter, reverb, delay, compressor, etc.) on the audio or midi/virtual synth track. You should leave plugin effects on the track only if you are sure that you like it because it is not possible to change it after the mixdown process. |
4) Name the "mixdown" audio file like the original track (example: "Electric Bass", "Lead vocal", "Piano", etc.) |
We have created some tutorials to help you with the "mixdown" audio process. In these tutorials we use Logic Audio, Ableton Live and Cubase, but it can be applied to any audio software. |
Our recording system is based on Apple/Mac computers and Logic Pro 8 Studio, Logic Express and GarageBand. Even if your song is in Logic Pro/Logic Express or GarageBand format, we strongly recommend using the above "mixdown" process to provide us with your song's audio files. |
| How to send the audio files |
The audio files should be sent via one of the file storage websites, such as megaupload.com, filefactory.com, depositfiles.com, mediafire.com, youswap.com etc. Preferably you should put the audio files in a folder and pack it as a ZIP or RAR archive before uploading. Windows users can use WinRAR, while Mac users should use the "Create Archive" function in Desktop File menu. |
In case your song has many audio files, we suggest you create several folders and put 4 or 5 audio files in each folder. Then compress the folders and send them one by one. |
In case of large file quantities you can send us a CD or DVD by mail. |
| Getting your Mixing and Mastering |
Once we finish the mixing and mastering we will contact you by email. You should then make a PayPal payment. Click here to see our rates. (If necessary we can send you the instruction of how to make the PayPal payment) |
As soon as we receive your payment, we will send you a weblink where to download your song. It will be a hi-quality CD audio file (wav file at 44.1 kHz/16bit). You can also burn the audio file to CD to listen to it.
Please note: you should have a broadband internet line to download hi-quality audio file (wav) in a reasonable amount of time. |
You should check the mix and email us any changes you might want to make (we can also discuss changes, in real time, via our Evibe Chat). We will make the changes and put a new audio file online for you to download. |
